DEPARTURES ON TUESDAY IN APRIL, MAY, JUNE, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER (UPON VARIATIONS AND FORCE MAJEURE)

PROGRAM

 

1st DAY  Arrival at the airport in Naples and meeting with tour leader/interpreter. Transfer by bus (included in optional transportation service) to ***/**** hotel in Palinuro/Marina di Camerota/surroundings. Accommodation in private rooms, dinner and overnight. 

 

2nd DAY Breakfast in hotel and departure for a guided visit in Padula, in Vallo di Diano (SA), where is situated San Lorenzo Charterhouse, the biggest charterhouse in Italy and UNESCO Human Heritage. The Charterhouse hosts an important archaeological museum, which covers a period of time that goes from prehistory to Hellenistic age. Return in hotel and lunch. Visit to Camerota in the afternoon, starting from Marchesale Castle, the tour will continue with San Nicola Church in Bari, built in the 5th century, where it will be possible to admire the 18th century Neapolitan style nativity scene and other precious findings. We will also visit the Church of San Daniele the Prophet and the Convent of the Capuchin Friars. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

3rd DAY Breakfast in hotel and departure for a wonderful excursion in a fishing boat between Palinuro and Scario until Porto Infreschi’s Bay, a natural harbour between the coast that goes from Marina di Camerota towards Scario, considered the most suggestive corner in Cilento. Entering the harbour, on the left you can catch sight of the seaside and the little chapel of S. Lazzaro a little higher. In the end, return to the hotel for lunch. Departure for Palinuro in the afternoon, a district of Centola. The wild beauty of Capo Palinuro, with its stretching-towards-the-sea natural arch, as if it wants to house the incoming sailors, as well its history and myths fuel its charm. Capo preserves signs of very distant settlements, that show how beauty and the harbour’s strategic position facilitated the settlement of sailors’ colonies. The Argonauts, the Phoenicians and the Greeks arrived here and took up residence. The name of the place preserves something magical and legendary in it, due to Aeneas’ helmsman, precisely Palinuro, that felt in love with a beautiful girl named Kamaraton and gave her name to Camerota. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.       

 

4th DAY Breakfast in hotel and departure by bus (included in optional transportation service) for an excursion to Paestum and visit to the famous Archaeological Park and the wonderful Temples, testament of Magna Graecia’s glorious age. In the end, return to the hotel for lunch. Departure for Vietri sul Mare in the afternoon and walk along the promenade. Return in hotel for dinner and overnight.

5th DAY Breakfast and transfer by bus (included in optional transportation service) to Naples and departure with a scheduled flight for the return. End of services.

• Supplement per person per night with single room accommodation: € 25,00

• 10 % discount for 3rd person with triple room accommodation

• 20 % discount for 4th person with quadruple room accommodation

• Price of the flight to the airport in Naples, porterage, tips, tour leader (if the number of participants is less than 15), transportation by GT car/minivan/minibus as scheduled and every cost item not mentioned in “the offer includes”.
